Second Annual Thrift-a-thon

Last year about this time I gathered a group of my blogging friends & we bounced around the Salt Lake valley, hitting up a few of my favorite thrift stores. We had a BALL. I knew I needed to do it again, and I’ve been meaning to do it sooner, but alas. No time like the present, I guess. Last year was by invitation, so I thought this year it’d be fun to open it up to anyone interested!

The plan is to hit up as many thrift stores in the short amount of time as possible. I’ve been culling a list of my faves (and some new ones I’d like to try), and we’ll be bouncing around the city to those at different times. December 3rd, I’ll be emailing the itinerary with a list of stores we’re going to hit up, where we’re going to meet up for lunch & when. If you can’t come to all of it, no worries! It’ll be a come & go as you please sort of affair. I do hope you can come!

that sounds like a blast!! Too bad i’m not in Utah, haha. I went thrifting on Black Friday with my mom and SILs. I bought 2 pairs of Levis, a pair of REAL crystal candlesticks (gorgeous) a fun vintage-y metal serving tray, a leather-bound edition of the children’s book “A Tale of Three Trees” in like-new condition, and a beautiful floral flouncey dress for my daughter… all for less than $20. WOOHOO!! Oh, and I saw a couple pieces of real milk glass that were pretty and I thought of you. :)

Oh poo. I won’t be able to come, but I was wondering if you could make a list of all the stores you go to. I’m always looking for a new thrift store! Thanks, and have fun!

I also am no where near Salt Lake, but it does sound like fun. I went to a Christkindlemarkt this past weekend with some friends. That was fun too!

    4. Erin says:

I so wish I could spend a day thrifting with you!

Sounds so fun but I’m almost as far from Utah as you can get in the continental US! Went thrifting on Black Friday here in sunny Fl. One of my fave’s even did 75% off for the 1st 30 minutes the store was open! 75% off thrift pricing? I was in heaven… Have a great time.
Maybe next year we could make it a multistate event!

I’m going to move to Utah one day all because of you! How was your thanksgiving?

I’m so excited to hang! You’re just as fun in person as you are on your blog. :)

    8. Oh how I wish I could go! It sounds like a dream. I hope you will be posting about it so I can live vicariously through your blog :)

    9. Jessi says:

Oo la la this sounds wonderful!! I am so there!!

    10. Kayleigh says:

I kind of really want to join in on the fun [and I am even in West Jordan], but I really don’t have room in my apartment for any more stuff!

Were you going to head down to Provo for the Beehive Bazaar? :]

    11. Kind of jealous!!! I would so be there:)
Can’t wait to see what you girls find!

The closest thing we have to a thrift store in this small town is an “economy shop”…I fear walking out of there with something my neighbor recognizes. ha ha!!

    12. Heather C. says:

Bummer! I would have loved to come but I’ll be at lunch with a dear friend who is moving to Spain for a couple months. Have a great time!!!

    13. Bri says:

Oh I want to come! I’m going out of town but *might* be back by Saturday. If so, I’m so there!

    14. Faith says:

I just found out that I’ll be able to make it–hope I’m not too late!

    15. Nichole says:

I’m late signing up… (I just caught up on my reader.) hope I can still squeeze in.

    16. Heather says:

Happy FRIDAY!! I never did get an update. I am so dumb! I assumed you’d be thrifting in SLC. Are you Thrifting in Provo and not SLC? Let me know ASAP!
