Freebie: Printable Baby Shower Invitations

This post is sponsored by The Baby Cubby. Baby Cubby is the go-to for fantastic nursery and baby must-haves.

The marketplace includes the best of indie designers and shop owners. Click here for the baby gift registry, click here for new mom resources.

Baby cubby isn’t just for new moms. I stocked up for Junie for Christmas with all sorts of darling duds and tactile toys that leave her entertained for hours.

A friend of mine is expecting a baby, and all of us in the neighborhood are so excited for her!

I had fun designing these invitations, they’re feminine, but the blues and pinks in the design still keep it open-ended.

This was the inspiration behind the invitations. I took this photo at my cousin’s baby shower around 2 years ago. I love this bright and cheery combination.

2016 Christmas Candy Box Printable

This printable is coming to you a bit on the late side, but I figure now is better than never. :)

Here’s what I used for this year’s Christmas box. I love the pillow box design. It’s easy to cut and assemble and it holds just the right amount of caramels for a small treat. I’ve done this shape in the past, but figured I’d give it a fresh new look with some calligraphy and watercolor foliage.

As I assembled the boxes, I noticed that some of the boxes started to come undone. The double-stick tape wasn’t cutting it with the fuzzy letterpress paper I had used for printing. So I used some cheery red tape to keep the edge closed. It added a festive touch.

I got extra fancy, and busted out the gold ink and penned the names of the household. I only put 4 caramels in there, so it wasn’t meant for sharing with the whole family. ;)

I rounded up the kiddos and we started walking around the neighborhood to drop off the treats, but the 9º wind chill made that excursion last for 2 houses. Felix and I popped in the car and drove the rest around. I was kind of bummed that the weather was too yucky for a winter stroll. But such is life!

I hope you use these boxes for next year!! Click the link below to download. The download includes a printable for cutting by hand and files for the Print & Cut feature on Silhouette. Enjoy!

This post is sponsored by Tiny Prints. They provide excellent quality printing and amazing printing options to make your holiday cards stand out this year.

I love Tiny Prints. They make sending out Christmas cards a no-brainer. The designs are beautiful and already done for me (we used this one for ours). It’s wonderful to be able to simplify another thing about this time of year without sacrificing tradition. To help you simplify even more, below I’ve included a printable envelope template to help you address your holiday cards quickly. I’ve even included a fun, casual all-caps alphabet exemplar to use with the template.

The family photos were totally chaotic, but Sam Pierson captured the energy and love of our family perfectly. And to be quite honest, I love the screaming photos. June was in the worst mood ever, she didn’t want to have anything to do with our photo session. I was worried that we wouldn’t have any good ones, but candid photos  just get me.

Use the envelope template for all-caps work with markers or pens (thicker pens work better, in my opinion), or use it in your regular handwriting! Just write the descenders last, after you take off the template.

Oh gosh, it’s that time of year again! I’m loving how it pushes me creatively to come up with new designs and freebies. It’s such a great time to explore my art.

Interesting note: My grandparents for years and years held a Thanksgiving tradition of painting and a sleepover after our Thanksgiving feast. My grandpa carefully set out a canvas, brushes and a palette for each of us. He had a painting for us to work off of, but we could always do our own thing. I love how my family fostered art together.

Instead of the annual Thank You card, I have a gift tag/place card printable. The Thank You is coming soon. You’ll see it in a few days. And don’t worry (not that any of you do), the candy box is also on its way.

Use this printable as a last-minute place card or punch a hole and use it as a tag for a last-minute hostess gift tag. It comes 4 to a page, so you can use them for all sorts of fancy things! Speaking of gift tags, I’m teaching a gift tag brush lettering class next week on DECEMBER 1st in LEHI, UT! It’ll be at Paper Crush in Lehi. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.

I painted and lettered the graphics. Of course, I couldn’t have done what I did without taking a class from Natalie Malan! A couple of weeks ago I had the chance to go to one of her workshops (a couple of spots opened up and I snatched up it right away). I feel like I really upped my watercolor game after her class. Loved every minute of it.
