A late thank you is better than no thank you, right?
I finally around to making and sending off thank you postcards from Penelope’s party. It’s been three weeks.
Penelope isn’t to the point where she can express gratitude on Paper, so I ended up writing them all from her perspective. As soon as she can write a thank you note; she’ll be writing her own! Thank you cards take me forever to write. I kept with the theme of her birthday invitations and added her saying, “thanks!” (which sounds more like GATS).
I discovered the glories of thank you post cards when Chris and I got married and needed to make and send a bunch of thank you’s on a limited budget. Post cards are where it’s at – they’re so inexpensive to print and send! Have you used thank you postcards before? What do you think?

These are great! Where do you print them at?
I printed them at Documart, located in Downtown SLC.
The guy that works there does a great job & is super speedy.
I love the idea of postcards. I will definitely be using this idea in the future!
These are so cute! And you have awesome handwriting :)
I always send Christmas postcards. It’s really the best idea ever!
And Melissa, seriously, you are my style/design/creativity hero!
I heart this idea! I need to get some general ones printed up for those random thank yous I always miss those! (and then feel guilty for forever)
Sheesh, I’m contemplating moving to SLC just to be on your list of friends that gets invites to stuff… hehehe :) love it!
Your blog is adorable! Those thank you cards are awesome! It was so fun to meet you on Friday!

So adorable :D We did postcards for our wedding reception RSVP…. some people didn’t get it and put them in envelopes to send them back… I guess they thought we were rude and didn’t send envelopes hehe.
I used post cards for my wedding thank yous as well. It was so fun to use pictures from our honeymoon. The postcard is cheap but also the stamps. Pens thank you cards are so cute!
What a fabulous idea! Seriously, you have inspired me in so many ways for my son’s first b-day party. Can’t wait!
I was thinking I would log all the ideas you’d given us from Pen’s birthday in my brain for Jack’s next birthday, then I remembered something… I HAVE A BIRTHDAY TOO!
Thanks for the ideas Melissa! I can’t wait to apply them to MY own party :)
For a casual bachelorette party/weekend spent at a lakehouse, my friend made invitations on postcards from an online photo site with a picture of the bride-to-be when she was six or seven years old playing dress up, dressed up as a bride wearing little white gloves and carrying a small bouquet of flowers. It was adorable and economical!
my email filled in w/ autofil and was incorrect the first time – this doesn’t need to be published – just wanted to let you know! thanks!
