Ready for the New Year

I just got around to hanging the first piece of artwork at our new place. Yeah, we’ve been here for 3 months. I know.

I’m totally in love with my calendar I bought from seesaw designs. It’s pretty, functional & when the calendar is obsolete I can just tear off the calendar part off & frame the rest! I’m going for a grey/gold/tan/black color scheme in the living room, so it’s the perfect addition to our space.

I’m really excited for the new year. I’ve already started on a few of my resolutions for next year. Here are a few of mine:

  • make the bed every day
  • hang up artwork
  • organize the house before Felix comes
  • make a weekly dinner menu & stick to it
  • eat more vegetables

What are yours?

Artwork on the walls makes such a huge difference! We got a bunch up just before my inlaws came for Christmas and it makes it so much homier.

I’m resolving to equal out home and work so that I have more of a life and less of a work-driven life. I’m also challenging myself to do 100 projects this year. I saw another blog who did this in 2010. I think it’d be a great thing to accomplish!

I love that color scheme– the gold on that calender is really pretty! I’ve also used over-sized bulldog clips to hang larger items in our apartment:)

The calendar is really cute. What I want to know is where did you get the system to hang it up? Did that come with it?

I definitely like the food-calendar idea. That makes such great sense!

I adore your blog and admit to checking it every day! Your pictures are also so beautiful and I can’t wait for your daughter to have a little brother! Congratulations!

    7. […] couple of you have emailed me about the hanging system I used for the Seesaw calendar I hung last Friday. I thought I’d show you how I did it. It’s super simple, cheap & […]
