I am a new subscriber from the UK. My question relates to Digital Calligraphy. Which product should I purchase for practising Calligraphy. The iPad Pro or a Wacom product

      • Melissa says:

Depends upon your workflow and your budget. If you’ve got a grand lying around, get the ipad pro! It’s so fun to use. If you’re on a budget, get the Wacom intuos. Don’t bother with the small graphics tablets, get the medium intuos pro or large intuos pro. :)

I have never done calligraphy, but would love to learn..what should I start with?

      • Melissa says:

My class is a great place to start. I have a pointed pen (“Modern calligraphy”) class that uses dip pen and ink and a brush calligraphy class. Both start from the very beginning. The brush calligraphy/brush lettering class is great because all the tools you can take with you on-the-go. So if you’re busy or a parent, it’s really nice to start there.

Melissa, I am interested in learning the art of Calligraphy, I just don’t know where to begin. I want to take classes and get materials. Who and where do I start? Can you point in the right direction? Thanks for your time. Natalie

      • Melissa says:

I’d be happy to help!! I teach in-person at a near-monthly schedule in the Utah area if you’re nearby. I also teach brush lettering and modern calligraphy online at calligraphy.org. I start from the very beginning and we include top-notch kits for our classes. Check out the class offerings here: https://www.calligraphy.org/products
